Public Safety Committee Chairman: Bob Carlucci
We are very proud of the results of the borough web site which offers the
public a variety of up-to-date community information.
Residents can post a picture of family members serving in the armed forces.
Messages can also be posted to the site; the messages can be viewed by
military members from any location by logging onto the borough site.
Visitors will find information on youth activities, public officials and community. Our
schools use the site frequently for DARE and community history.
Over 9000 people have viewed the police blotter page and alert page this year.
The blotter page shows crime incidents that occurred in the community.
The alert page is very valuable. Information posted on this page alerts people
of missing children, wanted persons, or reports of suspicious occurrences in
the community. A missing childís picture or a mug shot can be posted to help
identify people in specific articles.
For instance, during a recent
robbery investigation, over 1500
website viewers read information
which helped lead police to the
suspectsí location and to their
eventual arrest.
If you have elderly or special needs
family members living in the
community, you may notify the
police department of contact
people to be notified in an
emergency. An application for this
is also on the web site. After
receiving the completed form, the
police department will review and
retain all of the information entered
to be used in case of an emergency.
