Second and fourth Mondays of each month,

During the months of June, July, August, and December meetings will be held on the second Monday of each of those months, starting at 7 p.m.

2008 Garbage / Recycling Schedule
Garbage collection will be every Thursday. When the
following holidays - New Year’s Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day - fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
or Thursday, then collection is delayed until Friday.
Friday garbage days in 2008 are: Jan. 4, May 30, Sept. 5, Nov. 28 and December 26.
2008 Clean House Days
Large, unwanted items such as construction materials, scrap metal, aluminum and large brush
can be disposed of during the borough’s 2008 Clean House Days.
These items, which are not normally collected with the regular trash pick-up, can be placed
curbside on May 8th, May 15th,
October 2nd and October 9th, 2008. Remember that state laws prohibit the collection the
following items: paint, oil, petroleum products, batteries, appliances containing of
CFCs(Freon), chemicals, engine or car parts, and hazardous or infectious wastes.
Please note tires are no longer being collected.

Recycling will be picked up bi-monthly as indicated on
the calendar.
The following materials are to be included in the
recycling program: clear glass, brown glass, green glass,
aluminum cans, steel cans, bi-metallic cans and type 1
and type 2 plastics.
All recyclables must be placed curbside in either a blue
recycling bin or a similar container. Garbage and recycling
containers must only be placed at the curb after 6 p.m. the day before
collection.
Recyclables will not be taken if they are placed in bags.
If your garbage and/or recycling has been missed, report it
to the borough office by calling 412-885-9200, ext. 100.
