Minutes:
Scott Walther makes a motion to approve the minutes from the 4-17-07 meeting. Shawn Slan seconds the motion; all in favor, motion carries.

Treasurer's Report:
Linda Wilson presents the membership with an itemized financial report with a balance of $17,468.00
Rick Mazzarini suggests that we set up a minimum account balance of $ 2500.00 that we don't go below and vote on this at next months meeting.
Scott Walther makes a motion to approve the treasures report; Bill Clasper seconds the motion; all in favor, motion carries.

Quest Speaker:

Rene supplies the board with a sample of frozen fruit juice and information regarding renting the machine for the concession stand.

Presidents Report
There will be a Memorial Day concert at Hamilton Field on May 30th. The Borough asked the board to sell concessions at this event with the proceeds to go to CSYA.
Rick Mazzarini asked for volunteers to work the event.
There will be fire works after the concert on Sunday instead of Monday this year.
The french drain at Municipal field is working well.
The quotes for bringing electric into the new concession stand At Sleepy Hollow Field is around $1500.00
Vince Smith is still working on getting bathrooms and lights at the Sleepy Hollow Field.
Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department will replace the burned out light at third base as long as CSYA. supplies the light.
The Golf outing will be June 8th, still looking for prize donations and sponsors for each of the 18 holes.

Vice Presidents Report
Opening day and pictures were a success, Rick thanks everyone involved.
The borough did a great job getting the field playable after the rain Friday.
9/10 baseball coaches need to get organized.
Kelly Baust volunteered to deliver sponsor plaques to the appropriate business owners.
T-Ball pictures are schedule for May 26th at 9:00am.
Castle Shannon was taken off the registration forms for the Pitch, hit and Run contest; they said they could not get in touch with us this year.
DABA Football is still looking for kids to sign up; they have 32 kids signed up for all three age groups.
Rick is running the Municipal field schedule; anyone who needs make up games should get in touch with him.

Trustees Report

Equipment Managers Report
No report.
Rick Mazzarini said that Russ Wilson supplied all baseball teams with new equipment, except new bats. He also adds that one of the 9/10 coaches took the umpires equipment out of the gang box and has not returned it to date.
All coaches should check their equipment before they start the season. They are also responsible for taking care of the equipment they are supplied with throughout the season. Rick Mazzarini asks all coaches to quit throwing the bases on top of the line machine.

Greentree has approached Castle Shannon regarding joining Greentree and Dormont in travel soccer in the fall.

Baseball: 7/8 Bruce Hrivnak
Mark Gizzo asked if we could buy new bats for next year's season. Mark Gizzo asked if some ice packs can be distributed to the teams.

Softball: Bill Clasper
Plenty of open field time is available at Sleepy Hollow and Myrtle Fields 15u Softball parents have been complaining that the team has a majority of Castle Shannon players and the coach is not from Castle Shannon. The players are not happy with the coach they have and the number of practices they are having.
We are still looking for volunteers for the 9/10 softball tournament on June 23rd and 24th. 9/10,11/12 Baseball:
Plenty of open field time is available at Municipal Field for make up games and practices. The dug outs need to be cleaned out when your team leaves.
We have plenty of umpires this year; we have to turn umpires away because we have enough.
Jerry has been on time and always had the concession room open when scheduled.
Coaches should know that they need to open the concession room ½ hour before the game. They need to make sure they close up if know one is playing behind them.

Guide lines Committee Greg Madler will have a mission statement for next meeting.
