Retail Theft
May 10, 2008
The Castle Shannon Police Investiations Unit filed charges on Aaron Porter 24 years of age from 2500 Chapelwood Drive Pittsburgh 15241 for theft of Lottery Tickets. The theft was from the Seven/Eleven Store on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard.
Vehicle Theft
May 9, 2008
A vehicle was stolen from a residence in the 3900 block of Willow Avenue. The vehicle was reported locked by the owner before it was observed missing during daylight hours.
Retail Theft

Castle Shannon Police are investigating the theft of steaks from the Giant Eagle on Sleepy Hollow Road. Police received information on a possible suspect.
Valdalism To A Vehicle
May 10, 2008
Castle Shannon Police are investigating the valdalism of a vehicle parked on the street in the 300 block of Murrays Lane.
The valve stem was cut from the vehicle. The vehicle owner reported that this is the third time that this occured.
Vehicle Stolen From Driveway
April 27, 2008
On April 27th a Castle Shannon resident in the 4100 block of Steiger Street noticed their vehicle missing from the driveway. The report was taken by Castle Shannon Police and dispatched across the computer network including states outside of Pennsylvania. The vehicle and suspect were recovered in Virginia after a high pursuit from Virginia State Police. The Virginia State Police arrested Brandon Schoff of West Mifflin. Castle Shannon Police will also post additional charges on Schoff.
Drug Arrest
April 12 2008
Castle Shannon Police while on patrol arrested an 14 year old juvenile for possession of Marijuana. Through the further check of the juvenile they found a number of ink markers on the suspect commonly used in Graffiti.
The juvenile was arrested at the trestle at Library Road and Castle Shannon Boulevard.
Theft

Castle Shannon Police received a report of a theft of a rifle from a residence in the 3400 block of McRoberts Road.
Drug Equipment Violations
April 11 2008
During a routine traffic stop Castle Shannon Police arrested two males for position of drug equipment for the use of Heroin.
Arrrested were Kevin Joseph Cirelli 23 years of age from 1206 Fortuna Avenue Brookline and Justin Clark Bohatch VII 27 years of age from 220 Springdale Road Venetia Pa.
Theft Reseiving Stolen Property

Charges are filed by the Castle Shannon Police Investigations Unit on Peter Altares from 138 Mt. Lebanon Boulevard. Altares was an employee of the KFC/TOCO Bell on Cook Drive in Castle Shannon and removed $100.00 from the register.
Conspiracy Burglary Retail Theft
March 18 2008
The Castle Shannon Police Investigations Unit filed charges on Amos Philman 27 years of age from 364 Orchard Street Carnegie and John Baker 39 years of age from 117 Cutler Street McKees Rocks.Philman while working as a sub contractor for Giant Eagle on Sleepy Hollow Road allowed Baker into the locked store. Together they removed $1,6000.00 in merchandise.
Charges are filed for thier arrests.
Retail Theft

Castle Shannon Police arrested Ms. Roberta Kirsh 31 years of age from 755 Dunster Street Pittsburgh 15226 for retail theft.
Kirsh was arrested after taking steaks from the Giant Eagle on Sleepy Hollow Road without paying for them. Her vehicle was stopped by the Baldwin Township Police after a radio broadcast of the suspect and their vehicle.
Aggratated Assault
February 8, 2008
Castle Shannon Police Officers arrested Cathy L. Drydil and David Alan Drydil from 1329 Clara Street Castle Shannon. The police officers answered a domestic call at the Drydil residence. During the investigation of the domestic, both residents began to resist and assault the responding police officers. Both residents were arrested. David Drydil was transported to Allegheny County Jail.
Retail Theft
January 4, 2008
Castle Shannon Police arrested Ryan Samuel Dombroski 28 years of age from 115 Noblestown Road Pittsburgh 15205 for retail theft.
Dombroski was witnessed earlier this month by video camera taking steaks from the Giant Eagle Store on Sleepy Hollow Road.
While under the observation of store employees Dombroski was witnessed putting steaks and shrimp in a carrier and attempting to leave the store without paying.
The total value of the theft durint the arrest was $235.00.
Public Intoxication Arrest
January 24, 2008
Castle Shannon Police arrested Nicholas A Bianchi 31 years of age from 497 Sleepy Hollow Road, Mt. Lebanon for public intoxicaton. Bianchi was observed by officers in the 3300 block of Library Road appearing to be under the influence.
Aggravated Assault
January 20 2008
Castle Shannon Police arrested David Paul Fournier 20 years of age from 966 Vallevista Street Castle Shannon.
Fournier was involved in a violent domestic when it was reported that he was beating a female and holding her against her will. Police responded and observed Fournier holding his girlfriend on a bed while holding a knife screaming at her. Officers took custody of Fournier. It was also learned that Fournier has threatened his mother with the knife if she called the police during the domestic. Fournier was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Theft
January 20, 2008
Castle Shannon Police received a report of a theft from a storage locker at the Shannon Storage at 3360 Library Road. The theft occured on September 20 2007 at which time someone removed boxes of personal items and hardwood flooring. The victims were alerted when they received new keys for the replacement of the locker locks damaged in the theft.
Simple Physical Assault
January 21, 2008
Castle Shannon Police arrested Michael Wayne Malenich, 41 years of age, from 1164 Cochran Mill Road Jefferson Hills for a physical assault on a fourteen year old female.
During a domestic it is reported that Malenich during an argument with the 14 year old pushed her against a wall causing pain to her neck and back. When the female returned to her feet Machenich punched her in the nose causing it to bleed. The grandparents who live close to the residence responded. At that point, the mother of the 14 year old drove the mother's boyfriend to his residence in Jefferson Hills. The mother did not report the assault to the police or request medical assistance. Malenich was arrested and taken to Allegheny County Jail. The case is being investigated by Child and Youth Services for further action.
Aggravated Assault

Castle Shannon Police Officers arrested Samuel Alfred Smith 38 years of age from 837 Lindenwood Drive Castle Shannon for Aggravated Assault. The incident began at the Sleepy Hollow Giant Eagle where Samuel Smith and his girlfriend began shouting in the store and throwing meat at each other. When store employees attempted to quiet the couple down they became disorderly towards them. Officers went to the Smith residence to investigate where Smith began to shout at officers and became disorderly. Officers attempted to arrest Smith and he resisted including the biting of one of the officers.
Officers were assisted by outside police departments to secure Smith. Smith was arrested and taken to Allegheny County Jail.
Graffiti Arrests

The Castle Shannon Police Investigations Unit has arrested one juvenile and additional juveniles will be arrested in the future for the spray painting of Graffiti. Many office buildings, traffic signs and public park buildings have been spray painted through the community. Through investigations with outside agencies and the Castle Shannon Officers, the identity of the vandals have been identified.
The Police Department asks that anyone witnessing the spray painting of Graffiti to report it to police as soon as possible.
