The Castle Shannon Police Department has changed their point dispatch
to Allegheny County Emergency 911.
The public can continue to call 911 for emergencies
and Police response will remain the same.
If someone wants to contact the police department for a non-emergency,
the telephone number is 412 473-3156.
The non-emergency telephone number is used for animal control or general business.
The non-emergency telephone number is used after business hours
5:00 P.M. on weekdays all day Saturday and Sunday.
Please remember that at anytime you require the assistance of the police
for an emergency or to report a crime you should call 911.

Burglary
November 13 2008

The Castle Shannon Police Investigations Unit filed charges on a 17 year old male Brookline resident for the burglary of a Castle Shannon residence.
The residence was located in the 700 block of Reihl Drive. The burglary involved the suspect taking cash from the residence during the daylight hours. He is presently housed in the Shuman Juvenile Dentention Center.



Retail Theft
September 17 2008

The Castle Shannon Investigations Unit has filed charges on Ryan Murtaugh 25 years of age from 321 Ruthwood Drive Pittsburgh 15227 for retail theft.
Murtaugh is suspected of committing a theft at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Castle Shannon Borough.



Burglary Theft Receiving Stolen Property
September 2 2008

The Castle Shannon Police Investigations Unit has issued an arrest warrant for Calvin Miller 51 years of age. Miller is wanted for the burglary of an apartment on Cooke Drive in Castle Shannon Borough. Miller forced his way into a first floor apartment by pushing in an air conditioner unit to gain entry.
Miller has no known address and is thought to be homeless at this time.
